Estimated Time to Complete: 5 minutes

Product: Amplifier

You can define which Smart Groups you would like to ingest within Amplifier and create findings related to the users of the Smart Group computers. Each finding can be used to trigger engagements with end users to fix issues. You must create a CUSTOM FINDING for each Smart Group. It only takes a few minutes to set up.

  1. Log into the Amplifier console and click on INTEGRATION & POLICIES in the left navigation and select CONFIGURE under the CUSTOM FINDINGS tile.

  1. Expand Findings Configuration and select ADD FINDING

  2. Now you can simply define the Smart Group finding you want for Amplifier.

  1. Finding Name - Name your Finding. It is suggested to reuse the Smart Group name.
  2. Event Type - This is the name of your JAMF Smart Group.  IMPORTANT - The name must match your smart group EXACTLY.

  3. Severity - Select how severe this finding is to you (Critical, High, Medium, Low, Info). Note: Amplifier will use the severity assigned to prioritize engagements with end users.

  4. Finding (Display Name) - This is the name that will show up in the Amplifier product and in communications with end users to make it easy to understand.

  5. Description - The description of the Smart Group. This is only used internally within the Amplifier product.

  1. Click on SAVE.

Remember you must repeat this process for each Smart Group you want to setup in Amplifier.
