Installation Instructions:
Amplifier's Proofpoint installation pulls data from multiple API's. Each API requires it's own authentication. Please complete each of the steps below and enter all values into the "Installation Settings" form on the Connector configuration page.
People API:
Credentials:
Login to the TAP Dashboard
- Navigate to
Settings > Connected Applications
- Click
Create New Credential
- Name the new credentials set and click
Generate
- Copy the
Service Principle
andSecret
Enter each value into the Installation Settings form on the Connector configuration page.
Threat Response API:
Credentials:
API Key
:- Navigate to
System Settings > Customization > API Keys
- Click on
(+)
Icon next to API Keys heading - Provide the name of application and the
Enabled
checkbox - Click
Save
- After you have saved, the new API Token is generated and added to the API Keys table.
- Navigate to
API Hostname
:- Collect the IP address or Hostname of your PTR instance.
- Enter each value into the "Installation Settings" form on the Connector configuration page.
Security Awareness Training Result API
Credentials:
- API Token Key:
If you haven’t received a token key, please contact your Proofpoint Security Awareness Training Platform Administrator (Admin) to receive it. The Admin is responsible for generating the token key using the Platform. Refer to the "Proofpoint Results API Access Token Mart Guide". There may be a delay of up to 24 hours after token key creation before your data will be returned by the API endpoints. If all token keys have expired, this delay will again occur after the creation of a new, valid token key.
Note: Contact your Amplifier Account team if you need to perform a partial installation to ensure that your Proofpoint connector is configured correctly.
